One week check-in

Hello all, I am writing as my official one week check-in. I weighed myself this morning and the scale read 248.6, for a total one week weight loss of 6 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!! I was ecstatic, especially considering I never thought I would lose so much in one week. I hope I can keep it up. I have not really started exercising, I have been having some back troubles lately, and my foot has been hurting because I sprained it last year, and I still don't think it has healed properly. Excuses, excuses, I know! I may start walking tomorrow depending how the weather is.

So far, I have been feeling tired and extremely hungry. I don't think I am starving myself but I have went from eating anything and everything I want, and not really stopping myself, to really watching myself and my food intake and trying to do better. I think the tired feeling comes from taking care of our dog, who got attacked by another animal on New Year's Day and we have been helping him get better.

One issue I have with people is JEALOUSY!! When I mention something about how I am so happy to lose weight, some people are just like "oh after the first two weeks it will be so hard to lose" and "it's just water weight". I just wish people could be happy and supportive!!

Well I would like to start inputting my food diary onto here, but I don't know the best way to go about doing it.... Pictures of each page? Typing it in? I don't know but I will get on that soon.

A New Year, A New Me

Hello all and welcome to my new blog. I have never done this before, so please bear with me. I am a little late on wanting to start my blog, but the purpose of this blog is to track my journey in weight loss. I began on January 1st, 2012. Yes, A New Year's Resolution. Now I know, the past has shown that New Year's Resolutions typically get broken. I have made weight loss resolutions in the past that I have broken, but I am determined to not break this one.

My goal is to lose between 50-70 pounds. I plan to achieve this by watch what I eat, and try to cut back on all of the sweets and high fat, fried foods. I switched to Diet/Zero pop and water, instead of drinking regular Coke and Pepsi. I also want to start walking and possibly attend a few Zumba classes.

I am attaching some "before" pictures, and hope that through the process of this blog, I can attach other pictures to show my progress.

If you have any weight loss tips, recipes, exercises, or anything like that, please feel free to send them to me!
